Thunderbirds Are Go! This Saturday on ITV!!

5…4…3…2…1…

My Thunderbirds Are Go episode is GO!

Here are some details. As the teaser below says, Parker gets mixed up with a couple of blokes from his shady past. To pull off the crime, they steal FAB1, best getaway vehicle ever! But they have reckoned without two things. 1) Sherbet – Lady Penelope’s plucky pug – is still in the car; and 2) a car is only really ever as good as its driver…

This is a dream come true. I had a pet rabbit called Virgil when I was a kid, so obsessed was I with TB2. So I am thrilled to say he and his green goddess of an aircraft are both present and correct to deal with a rescue mission.

I am Writing on the new series of Thunderbirds Are Go!

Huge news! I am so excited to reveal that I am writing for the third series of the hit ITV Studios/Pukeko Pictures TV show Thunderbirds Are Go! Having had meetings with Head Writer, Rob Hoegee, out in Los Angeles I was thrilled when he invited me to work on the series late last year. I love it!

The show is currently airing on ITV and CITV in the UK, Disney XD in the US and globally on Amazon Prime. I cannot say more at this time because I wouldn’t want to spoilt things for you, but it is a privilege to work on such a major TV show under an amazing writer like Rob.

Thunderbirds Are Go! is a remake of the 1960s classic original with fantastic new CGI characters and awesome new design work across the sets and – especially! – the vehicles.

The show also features the voice talents of a number of wonderful actors including Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Die Another Day), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and the inimitable David Graham who plays Parker – just as did in the original Thunderbirds. Yes, m’Lady!

Richard Dinnick - The Agency

New Year: New Agent!

I am very excited to announce that I have a new agent. Emily Smith at The Agency now represents me in the UK. One of the best agencies in the country, The Agency represents many of the most celebrated writers and directors of film, TV and theatre.

As it says on their web site: “An agency is only as good as its clients and our clients’ reputations speak for themselves.” I am thrilled and honoured to join these auspicious ranks.

It will be an exciting year ahead and there are many more announcements to come regarding the worlds of TV, books and comics. Emily and I have already discussed our strategy for global domination and I am currently looking at the volcano bases that Right Move have on their books…

I am still represented in the USA by my manager, Joe Riley.

Announced as Guest at 2017 Gallifrey One Convention

Richard has been announced as a guest at the biggest and best Doctor Who Convention: Gallifrey One. The Even will be taking place in Los Angeles between the 17th and 19th February 2017. He will be appearing alongside Paul McGann, Lalla Ward and a host of Doctor Who stars past and present. “I’m delighted to be back at Gally once more,” Richard said. “Thanks to Shaun for his kind invitation.” This will be Richard’s seventh appearance.

The Doctor and the Supreme Dalek

The eighth book in Richard’s series of Doctor Who histories is published later this year. The latest subject of these kits is the Supreme Dalek itself.

This collectible kit includes a 48-page book on “Doctor Who” and the Supreme Dalek, featuring full-colour series photography throughout. Also included is a miniature 3-inch Supreme Dalek figurine that has three distinct, menacing lines and features a light-up extermination weapon.

The Supreme Dalek is released (unleashed?) on the 13th October.
