Experience

I have worked in game and narrative deign for many years, starting off with Moshi Monsters – the web browser massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) aimed at children aged 6–12 for Mind Candy.

I then helped write and develop a Doctor Who VR Game for the BBC and XR Games writing the narrative and gameplay elements, characters, scenarios and lore.

I was then approached to be Lead Narrative Designer of a team of narrative designers on the new Military Science Fiction MMO, HYPERSPACE for Carbon Based Lifeforms.

Most recently I have been acting as Senior Narrative Designer on the AAA rated Sea of Thieves for Microsoft Xbox Games Studios and Rare.

I have worked with and briefed Art and Sound Designers, Composers, Coders, and Developers.

I’ve also led teams of Narrative Designers to create lore, characters, adventures, mysteries and scripts.

I’ve directed actors for VO sessions and briefed animation teams for cutscenes and cinematic trailers.

I have written – and given – presentations and contributed to GDDs, Lore Bibles and Confluence databases in conjunction with Jira.
